Every major party gubernatorial candidate has expressed support for Sunday alcohol sales.

Are you sure about Anna Wills in 57B? I had asked her the same via email a few months ago and she did NOT support Sunday Sales. I can only assume that candidates considered the source of this survey and answered accordingly. Her opponent, Denise Packard enthusiastically did support repealing the Sunday ban however.
Very sure, Wills even clarified a preference to full repeal over local option.
This polling is an absolute joke and has no merit behind it. The fact
that not one House race will be decided on liquor issues brings to the
forefront that people really don’t perceive these issues as important in
everyday life in Minnesota. Furthermore, we are dealing with a product
that has long lasting impact to our society by all of the damage that is
associated with its abuse.
I’m not anti liquor one bit, and I’m one that does enjoy a pint every now and then. But this movement is absolutely overboard and really makes Minnesotans look like alcoholics. As a society we’ve done just fine with liquor stores closed on Sunday which provides one day off for people in the industry. Give it a rest, these issues are not important to most Minnesotans!
So, the DFL candidates are largely opposed/keeping their mouths shut on the issue. Union considerations I’m sure.
