The Four Firkins
You may know that great beer can make for a magical experience, but are you aware of how truly magical the process of creating beer itself is?
We will be starting off the 2014 Educational Tasting Program with one of the most important, yet least understood and appreciated facets of beer: yeast and fermentation. We will celebrate these wonderful and brilliant microorganisms and discuss how they create the beer we love.
So, if you’ve ever wondered about the difference between an ale and a lager, why exactly beer has carbonation, or how alcohol gets in there come to our next Educational Tasting and drink some delicious beers while you find out these and many more interesting.
Each beer sampled will highlight a unique attribute or talking point regarding yeast and the fermentation process.

As usual, one special surprise beer will be sampled at the end of the class.
