Senor Wong is celebrating the New Year by inviting you to our exclusive beer dinner of the SEASON. They will feature the wonderful beers of Odell Brewery from Fort Collins, Colorado. Odell Brewery makes some of the best and delicious beers around! The menu for the evening is listed below with the featured beers, and once again, space is limited to the first thirty guests. Any last minute cancellations will result in a charge unless we are able to fill it with another reservation.
The meddler: COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION: Inspired by a resurrected style from the Flemish region of Belgium, The Meddler Oud Bruin is a blend of several generations of brown ales that were barrel aged for over 18 months. Wild yeasts, Lactobacillus, and Brettanomyces meddle with the beer creating complexity and depth of flavor. Intricate, yet balanced, The Meddler has an 8.9% ABV.
devils on horseback: dates, shepard’s hope queso fresco, bacon, sweet & spicy adobo sauce.
90 shillings: COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION: Richer than most amber ales, 90 Shilling is smooth & deeply satisfying, with a crisp, clean Colorado taste. The name comes from the old Scottish method of naming a brewery’s beer, based on original gravity and resulting tax rating.
miso glazed salmon: roasted carrots w/ yuzu kosho butter, king trumpet mushrooms, watercress.
Red Ale: COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION: The Rocky Mountain Goat is no ordinary goat. Just like Odell Red is no ordinary red. We took the American-style red to a whole new level by adding a variety of aggressive American hops—giving this ale a distinctive fresh hop aroma and flavor. We think you’ll agree this red has some serious kick. Available February – May of ’09 6.5% Alcohol By Volume
birria: braised goat, tangy tomato-dried chili broth, roasted root vegetables, radish, onion, cilantro.
Legeune Chocolate Milk Stout: COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION: If you’ve ever been to our brewery, you’ve likely seen the old, beat-up truck that hauls away our spent grain. That truck belongs to Lugene, who’s been feeding his dairy cows the hearty malt for over a decade. Named in his honor, Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout is brewed with milk sugar and milk chocolate. The rich and creamy brew reminds us of a cold glass of chocolate milk and our hometown “Aggie” roots.
milk and cookies: almond cookie sandwich, black cardamom-brown butter ice cream, butterscotch, milk chocolate namelaka
