First Friday Films returns with a film screening and conversation about women in craft beer. Join Doug Hoverson, author of the definitive history of local beer, in conversation with Jill Pavlak and Deb Loch of Urban Growler Brewing Company, the first women-owned and -brewed microbrewery in the Twin Cities. The discussion will be followed by a screening of The Love of Beer (72 min.), a documentary about women in the Pacific Northwest craft beer industry fighting to end stereotypes surrounding beer production and consumption. Plus – if you consider yourself a beer connoisseur, take the hops identification test with Ben Boo and Brian Krohn of Mighty Axe Hops in Ham Lake, MN, and see how well your nose knows your beers.

Craft beer and popcorn provided!

This event is co-sponsored by MN Beer Activists.
